I thought it would be a good idea to start a bit of a journal — a place to keep those of you who care apprised of the goings-on behind the scenes. Not a polished announcement, just an honest look at what life actually looks like on this end right now.
And right now? I am so, so busy.
I'm in the middle of a major in-person event that spans three full weekends. On top of that, I'm trying to get new items listed on my website, update my Etsy shop, and get everything ready for a local store that will soon be carrying my work. I'm designing and creating — both brand-new pieces and the established favorites that keep the shop running. I'm still fulfilling the orders that keep coming in online, which I am genuinely grateful for, even when the timing feels impossible.
And underneath all of that is just... life. Eating. Sleeping. Not neglecting my dogs or my family, who deserve so much more of my attention than they're currently getting.
Needless to say, nothing is being done well right now. It's all being done, but it's all being done at about 80% of what I'd like to give it, spread across too many directions at once.
So here's where I've landed: my catalog of items — both on my website and on Etsy — is going to take a back burner for a little while. Not because it doesn't matter, but because I have to be honest about what I can actually pour myself into right now. My event, and my life outside of this shop, need to come first for a bit.
I don't say any of this looking for sympathy. I say it because I'd rather be upfront with you than let things quietly slip and leave you wondering what happened. If you've placed an order, it is on my radar and it will get to you. If you've been eyeing something in the shop and it's slow to restock, that's why. And if you saw something at an event that hasn't made it onto my website or Etsy yet, please don't assume it's unavailable — reach out to me about it directly. Chances are it exists, it's just not listed yet. And if you're someone who's been cheering me on from the sidelines — thank you. Truly. Knowing people care about what I'm building makes the chaotic stretches feel a little more worth it.
